Why do we fall

We physically fall because of gravity. Earth pulls your body toward its centre with a force of about 9.81 m/s². Normally, you stay upright because your feet push against the ground and your brain constantly makes tiny adjustments to keep your centre of mass over your base of support. You fall when that balance is disrupted—for example: Your centre of mass moves outside the area between your feet. Your foot slips and loses friction. You trip and your body keeps moving forward. You get pushed or pulled. Your muscles or nervous system don't correct your balance quickly enough. So basically: gravity is always trying to pull you down; your body is constantly fighting it to keep you upright. 😄

We fall so we can learn how to pick ourselves back up. Sometimes we need to fall to grow, learn from our mistakes, and become stronger.
